Decanter was handicapped by the cnppy going, broke slowly and was lengths in the rear in the first half, but finished with a tremendous rush in the stretch. Carbuncle made up an immense lot of ground and ran a fine race, Dublin loomed up dangerously on the Btretch turn, but failed to stay in the last furlong. Ten Candles closed a tremendous gap in the laBt half. Shoreham ran a remarkably good race. Sanders was probably short.. Her weight stopped Musette. Smart Bet, a very slow beginner, was shuffled out of the race in the iflrst hundred yards. He was badly handled and was best. St. Finnan ran a game race. Belle of Troy loot five lengthB at the start and was raced into a prominent position in the first quarter and badly handled. She ran a grand race.
