Tenny Belle, well away and well ridden, showed sndden improvement and was easily best. Ed L., away badly, closed much ground running on the outside and ran a good race. Judge Pettus also ran a good race. Has Gift did well under a weak ride. W. J. Baker did his best. Militant was cut off when he seemed a contender. Clarena ran her race. Man can do better. So can Fugurtha. Tenny Belle, show, 2 to 1. Ed L., show, evens. Judge Pettus, show, 3 to 2. 1 28854: THIBD BACK 3-4 mi0 PnrMandOO. 2-year-oldB. He is a good horse over a long route and a slow track. Louis Wagner ran a good race and might have done better had he not been hustled too much at the start. Troxler gave Terra Firma a very poor ride, was slow in getting him to going well and got him into all sorts of trouble in the stretjh. Byrne of Boscrea is of slight present account save in mud, but showed speed. Dean Swift was given a very easy race. Ogle was badly ridden and can do better. Won handily; second easily. Euterpa is very good just now, finished strongly and was best ridden. Charles D. might have won had not Beauchamp taken him back at the half mile when he was going easily, got him into a jam and then ruBhed him after the leaders when going around the turn. It was a sharp form reversal for this horse. Nettie Begent was much used in setting the pace and tired from it. Rochester was made excessive use of in rushing him to the front from last place. He can do better. Miss Thresa waa sore and did not run her race. Lee Bruno needs a stronger rider than Hothersall. He will beat euch a field when he getB a stout rider on him. Joe Doughty ran one of his bad races. Euterpe, show, 7 to 10. Charles P., show, 2i to 1. Nettie Begent, show, out. 2885 7 SIXTH RACE 1 1-4 Miles. Purse 00. 3-year-olds and upward. Belling.
