Sam Lazarus ran his race at the distance. Tenny Belle did her best. Alea ran a strong race, bumped her way throngh the field and was going well at the end. The weight and the pace stopped H. S. She won drawing away and her race waB in sharp contrast to her previous effort. Hilae displayed the most early speed but when Orleans got to him he quit. Salve ran a good race and finished strongly. Glenwood did his beet. Fourleaf C, -which was very good in her last two races, ran a bad race here. Bermuda Prince ran a good race and will do presently. Lasso can do much better. Kindred began slowly, but finished strongly --and ran his best race Tremar waB raced into exhaustion by A. D. Gibson, which was running to .help Brnlare. Alice Turner had an easy race. Lunar, cleverly rated and kept out of the hot early pace, came with a rush when called on and just got top in time to nip Wax Taper on the pob It was a great race for her and she was well ridden. Wax Taper ran a great race considering ais condition. He is as poor as a crow, has a split hoof and four bad legs. He stood a tomendcaE drive of a half mile in the gameBt possible manner. OBrien eased him at the end and did not see Lunar until she waB at his saddle. Albert F. Dewey ran a good race, but was used too much in setting the pace. He was taken the short way and -well ridden otherwise. Peaceful and Picador ran below their true form. Scratched 28693 Beana, 100; 28852 Lady Callahan, 95. Overweights Albert F. Eleven Bells waB skilfully ridden to the stretch, then brought on with a well timed rush and was probably best. Omelia ran an extra good race for her and held on longer than usual. Tickful was fit, well ridden and had no mishaps. Zonne, off badly, closed a lot of ground and might have won with an even break. Frank Pearce ran a very good race. Scratched 28599 Cherry Head, 105; 28764 Barrica, 105. Overweights Omelia, 2. pounds. Eleven Bells, show, 2 to 5. Omelia, show, 7 to 1. Tickful, show, 6 to 5. Zonne, show, 3 to 5.
