Lady Sterling was bustlsd off her stride early and fell back and them came again right at the end. Feme Sole ran extra well at the weights. Flora Pomona evidently disliked the incline. Anak is best in mud. Rose of May can do better. Brunswick, lucky and well handled, drew out right at the end after being apparently beaten and displaying remarkable gameness. He is a rare stayer and possessed of a high order of speed. Lux Casta put up a fast and game race, fighting out the finish with great resolution. Namtor appeared the winner in the stretch, but failed at the end. He broke flat footed, however, and made up a lot of ground in the first half, which evidently told at the end. City Bank was closing up at the end. Tribes Hill tired and quit in the last fnrlong. Longlove is a fine looker and will improve.
