NOTES OF THE TURF. T. Pollock, Chicago. The bookmaker having taken a bet on Rolling Boar and Hermencia coupled is bound to pay. Tho scratching of Boiling Boer left Hermncia to run for tha entry and that was sufficient to make it a valid bet. Ownership cuts no figure in this case. If Boiling Boer had started he would have been coupled in tho betting with Hormencia, The odds would have boen smaller, howovor, with both horses starting and tho bookmaker has a right to take that fact into consideration and settlo accordingly. Half a dozen yearlings by Falsetto and Henry Young, consisting of fonr colts and two fillies, have bsen sold to R, L. Baker of Lexington by Lum Simons; three of tho colts and one filly are by FalseUo. In tholot is a full brother to Flywheel. J. C. Milan has pnrchas6d Cf Milton Young, two yearlings by Troubadour and Pirato of Penzancs. It was reported at Aqnednct Saturday that W. C. Whitneys noted fally, Blue Girl, is seriously afflicted with some sort of illness. All of J. B. Haggins horses, who wero trained by Petor Wimmer, have been turned ovor to C.
