NOTES OF THE TTTRF. W. C. Whitney and John E. Madden have registered a partnership with the Jockey Olub with the f ollowicg horses : Yearlings, Molakan, Mbbbo, Field Argent, Trepan, Sarghun, Sul-tanee, Saratoga Belle, Payne. Bendemeer and the weanling bay colt by Masstto Boncy Laes, It is reported that Capt. B. S. Brown is negotiating for a contract on the services of jockey Lucien Lyne for next seaEon. It is said that Bob Tucker is a very ardent admirer of tbo boys riding and has urged his employment by Captain Brown. Tbe stakes of the Coney Island Jockey Club, which closed on Monday last, showed an increase of from 25 per cent, to 65 per cent, in the numbsr of entries received thus far, and the far westorn states are still to be haard from. Mr. Sydney Paget has been given entire charge of Mr. Whitneys Bancocas establishment. It was he that suggested to the well-known horse owner that the Now Jorasy farm would be a suitable place for breeding horses. T. C. McDowell will leave Lexington for Memphis about the first of next month with something like twonty head of yearlings. In addition to his own he will take ton head belonging to W. E. Vanderbilt. The Benninga meeting ends this week, Saturday being the last day. Many stables racing there will bo shipped to New Orleans for the winter campaign which holds forth there for ICO da j b. Jcckejs Crowhurst and Boland are now on their way to Charleston, S. C where they expect to ride at the forthcoming meeting.
