Mosketo was held at the post and nearly left, but went after the field, got through luckily next to the rail on the first turn, was then skillfully waited with behind the pacemaker and came at the end like a flash. He was much the best and is a very useful horse. Prince Richard, apparently outrun and lacking in early speed, finished strongly and wore Past down at the end. The latter tired after a hard brush with the winner. Wissendine, much improved, was always prominent and held on well in the final drive. C. Bosenfeld was going well in the last quarter.
