St. Wood was best, raced Little Veronica into exhaustion, outgamed Satirist when it came to a drive, finished strongly and was goiDg away at the end. Satirist began slowly, had to go all around his field to get up, and made up a lot of ground, but tired when called on. Lelia Barr stood a long hard drive and got up just in time to get third place. Junaetta ran in improved form. Little Veronica quit in the last quarter. It was not Gold Foxs kind of a track. Scratched 334593 Jim Nap, 103. Overweights Little Rita, 4 pounds. Harold Keeling got away tangled up. made up much ground in the last furlong and caught Stub tiring Bt the end. The latter was hard ridden all the way. Castns is worth remembering in this kind of company and showed speed for tho first half mile. Tho latter camo very fast in . the last furlong and would have won in another stride. George Perrybegan slowly, but camo very strongly in tho stretch. He ran the best race of all and would have won in another ten yards. Jakko closed a big gap. Edna Fitzallen was taken wide when turning into tho stretch. OTerweignts Louise Collier, 1 pound. Mint Bed was lucky in getting away in the front rank, showed plenty of speed and raced Commena into submission, then lost ground in coming to the stretch, but came again and was going away at the end. Commena was away in motion and was hustled along for the entire route. Julia Junkin was away poorly and had to go around her field to get up, but closed a big gap and finished strongly, and would probably have won with an equal break. -Iridescent had a rough journey and was also the victim of a poor ride. Curtsey was outclassed. Filibuster showed early speed, but quit. Hia Away, show, out. Foneda, show, 1 to 2. All Saints, show, out.
