Almanzo was moving when the barrier went up and showed speed, but was hard ridden all the way and had all she could do to stall off Frivol. The latter was driving to the limit and wearing the winner down in the last sixteenth. Floret ran the best race. She began slowly, made up much ground and finished strongly. He finished very gamely and was going away at the end. Murmur was a keen contender all the way. ran an impressive race and is worth remembering. Zonne allowed Beguile and St. Hera to race each other into exhaustion, and when Gormley called on him in the stretch came away without much effort and was going away at the end. Beguile raced St. Hera to defeat, but had nothing left when the pinch came. Advocator finished strongly and would have been second in another stride. St. Hera was eased up in the last ten yards. Young Henry regained his speed suddenly, was well ridden and is probably at his best now. He raced Springwells into submission and shook her off in the run home. The latter was Dot up to such a bruising race. She made a strong bid on the far turn, but tired when the pinch came. Flintlock closed a big gap and finished strongly. Her Letter was best, raced Our Sallie into subjection in the first three furlongs and came away as her rider pleased. Lorina outgamed Spinet when it came to a drive. She lost ground at the home turn by coming wide. Spinet saved ground at this point but faltered in the final sixteenth. Our Sallie showed early speed, but quit when the real racing came. Euclaire finished strongly, caught Annie Lauretta in the last fifty yards and outgamed her when it came to a drive. Annie Lauretta was hustled along all the way and showed much speed, but could not last the route. Bob Baker dropped back when rounding the far turn, but came again at the end. Kings Pet ran a good race, came very wide at the home turn and finished strongly. Rotterdam tired. Scratched 33546 Kittle Court, 102. Euclaire, show, 3 to 5. Annie Lauretta, show, 1 to 2.
