Lass of Langden was the best at the weights, showed the most speed and won as her rider pleased. Inspector Shea, off flying, ran a remarkably improved race. He displayed much speed and stood off Ciales bid in the last sixteenth with great firmness. His sudden change of form is simply unfathomable. Ciales waB slow to get into his stride, but moved up fast in the last eighth. The race should do him much good. He runs to his best form on a fast track. Bragg finished strongly. Senator Morrison closed up fast in the last sixteenth and was gradually closing in on Jack-full at the end. Maghoni ran an excellent race. Sho was away badly, interfered with as she made up ground and finished stoutly. Pirate showed a lot of speed. Egg Nogg ran prominently for a half mile When the horses first went to the post Harrison acted badly and threw jockey Meade, hurting the boys left leg. Lyne was substituted, but the unruly colt also bucked with him and he rofased to ride him Judge Morse excused Harrison causing a delay of twenty minutes for a now book. The horses were at the post twenty-five minutes while Harrison was sulking and bucking. The winner, entored for 00, was run up to ,300 and bought by A. Simon3. Captain Arnold was much the best and had to be to win. He began slowly and appeared to have little chance in the first half, but closed up fast in the last quarter and fairly ran away from the field. Mary Lavana tired fast when the pinch came. She runs to her best form on a fast track only. Gjendon tired slightly in the last eighth. Agnes Mack as usualshowed much speed, but tired in the final eighth. Rosanco ran a better race than tho figures show. Mirance was never an important factor. Captain Arnold, show, out.
