Blonde Grayson tiptoed her field after once gettine the lead and was never in trouble. Ocie Brooks always held the others safe. Lelia Barr closed a big gap and finished stoutly. Maple also made up much ground from a slow beginning. Violent quit in the last furlong. Euclaire began slowly. Elizabeth Moan ran badly. Scratched 33519 Ethel Davis, 100. Murmur ran her race and was hard ridden all the way. Our Sallie ran a fair race and hung on gamely. La Mesla D. refused to break with her field and bolted on the backstretch. Clorita showed the most speed and opened up a gap that the others could never overcome, but had to be ridden to the limit to stall off Albula and St. Hera in the last eighth. Albula fought it out gamely and appeared to be winning fifty yards from home. St. Hera closed a big gap and came very fast in the stretch under a hard drive. Young Henry had no mishaps and was simply outrun. Cormac and All Souls were away poorly and Our Jessie was standing llatfooted when the barrier went up. Scratched 336672Special Tax, 80. Iridescent got up in the very last stride after fighting it out all through the stretch with Rice and Binehelio. Bice ran to his very best mark, but was weakening in the final strides. Binehelio was closing up fast and would have been first had the distance been a trifle farther. Presgrave began slowly and seems to be going back.
