Duelist moved up fast after the first three furlongs had been run,nd, taking the good going next to tho inside rail in the last quarter, easily outlasted the field. Lady Idris, off flying, showed much speed, revelled in the going and was much the best of the others. Scorpio ran a dull race and tired rapidly in tho last quarter. Corrigan was never a serious contender and showed scant speed. Ice King broke down just before turning for home, throwing jockey Mathews. Iceni was hopelessly beaten off approaching the ninth jump, but Queenship, Dagmar and Helen Paxton fell over the jump and he had a virtual walkover. The jockeys remounted Dagmar and Helen Paxton and rode out the race for second and third money. Farrell fell at the fifth jump and Globe II. stumbled over him, throwing-his jockey. Ho finished strongly and would probably have won at any event. Esherin moved up fast in the last eighth and finished strongly. Watkins Overton hung badly when the pinch came. Prairie Dog apppeared unable to extend himself in the going and was hopelessly beaten off all the way.
