Athlana broke fast and led well in hand throughout except in the last sixtegnth, when she was brought to a drive to beat the fast coming Irascible. The latter is evidently a good one and will beat this kind hereafter. Monte Carlo ran to his best form on a fast track and is best as a mudlark. Ascension was poorly managed and carried wide on both turns, but was closing up strongly at the end. Barouche, failed to stay. Feme Sole tired after making a strong bid to get to the winner on the far turn. Adelaide Prince closed a big gap from a bad start. Sister Juliet ran vory sore aad was palpably unfit and her race far too bad to be true. Lady Holyrood went out as if in the race for the special purpose of forcing the pace. Hatasoo, show, 1 to 2.
