Fitzbrillar displayed a line turn of speed and raced past his field in a hurry, but was faltering a sixteenth ont at the time when Geheimniss tired and quit. He then rallied and won easily enough. Avoid ran a brilliant race and came strongly at the end after swerving in the stretch. Geheimniss appeared like a winner to the last fifty yards then swerved and quit.
