A CHANCE FOR YANKEE. Saratoga, N. Y., July 31. The current report that Yankee is broken down is practically correct. The great son of Hanover Correction that took the Futurity of his year is far from being sound, and has shown no improvement since Madden brought him to Morris Park from Kentucky this spring. He is a heavy-bodied horse and his legs need constant attention. Mr. Madden, is giving him his: expert attention and still hopes to bring him around. Yankees toilet after his exercise is a study in racehorse training. Under the personal supervision of Mr. Madden his legs are bathed in a lotion and wrapped up tightly is an absorbent bandage that does much toward keeping them clean and from inflammation. With the treatment he is receiving there is a chance that Yankee may yet show with colors up and make good his reputation..
