Groat Star was best, showed the most speed throughout and had things all her own way. Carrie I. was easily best of the others and always held second place safe. Oconee was under a hard drive all of the last quarter. She hung on gamely, but could not improve her position. Travers got a bad looking ride. This was not hid race. He can do better. The Elba ran a fair race but tired in the run home. Axares was badly cut off on the turn and thrown completely out of the race. Scratched 34078Siphon, 102. Overweights Per Centum, 3 pounds; Iris. 2. Ontonagom raced Springwater into subjection, came away without much effort in the run home and won as his rider pleased. Pirate caught Springwater tiring in the last furlong and got second place in the last stride. Springwater showed early speed, but weakened when the pinch came. All Souls was coming Btrongly at the end. The assistant starter had hold of Velma Clarks head and she was standing sideways when the barrier went up. Overweights All Souls, 2 pounds. Carl C. showed the most early speed, but pulled up very lame. This caused him to falter in the stretch and he had to be hard ridden to get second place. Dynasty hung on more gamely than usual. Sir Florian came very fast in the last furlong, caught Incandescent and Kings Pet tiring and got up in the last stride. Incandescent weakened when the pinch came. It was a weak finish on Kings Pet. Fessy F. made up much ground from a poor beginning. Pompino was pocketed in the first part of the race, and pulled up very lame.
