Vouch came away from the field when his rider was ready and won going away. Ringleader ran to his best form, was hustled along all the way and outgamed Fairy when it came to a drive. Fairy showed the most early speed and Jones rode a good race on her, saving ground at every turn. LoKa ran a good race and far above his usual mark, but cannot bo depended upon to repeat. Carl C. did not get to going until too late, but finished stoutly. Scratched 34155 Brahmin, 107; 34027 Rhinewine, 101; 34300 Northumberland, 104. Overweights Loka, 4 pounds. Vouch, show, 1 to 2. Springwater was on the outside at the start and had to go around the leaders to get up, came with a rush in the last furlong, wore down the leaders and got up in the last stride. Caelana fought it out gamely but tired in the last few strides. Onyx II. tired in the run home and Howell could not keep him going faBt. Harold Keeling finished strongly. Heroine and Gerda wore raced into exhaustion in chasing Onyx II. Pathos and Sly Boots were off poorly and could not get through the field. Scratched 34178 Gold Bride, 103. Gormley allowed Volma Clark and Nobleman to race each other into exhaustion in the first seven furlongs and then came on with Khaki and won as he pleased. Velma Clark hung on gamely to the end. McWill-iams was outrun in the first part of the race, but came fast through tho stretch and got third place without trouble. Nobleman tired badly in the run home. Overweights McWilliams, 4 pounds. Sevoywent to the front at flagfall and simply romped away from his field. He was pulled almost to a walk. Euclairo and Crimean fought it out hard for the second place all through the last farlong. Euclaire was tiring and had to be driven to the limit to last long enough. Crimean finished very strongly; would have been second in another stride. The others were outclassed. Bismarck was cut off at the far turn, went all around his field and came wide at the stretch turn, then came with a rusji at the end and would have won in another stride. Chanterolle showed the most early speed, but tired in the last furlong and was probably a bit short. Illowaho tired when tho pinch came, as also did Aden.
