La Rouge, badly ridden and much interfered with, ran a good race and will do presently. Chiquasabog closed up well from a bad beginning. Judge Pettus tired after showing a flash of early speed. Sanctissima showed the most speed throughout but tired unexpectedly at the end and just did win. Makeda broke well and showed speed but Dean restrained her, swung her wide around the turn and never made a move up to the last hundred yards, but when he let go of the fillys head she closed ground like a flash and was best. Vineland ran a good race, but tired in the stretch run. Gold Cockade ran a good race under a bad ride. Scratched 341933Lexington Bess, 105. Sanctissima, show, out. Makeda, show, 2 to 5. Terra Incognita was in great form today, rushed his jumps, took them in his stride, showed much speed and was best. It was a vast improvement from his last race.
