, j , , , , 5 HARLEMS PROGRAM. This promises to be a lively and important week at Harlem, four of the closed stakes and the Cup furnishing the stellar attractions. Monday presents purses only, but on Tuesday the Cicero Selling Stakes, ,000 added, one mile, will be run off. It has eighty-four nominations with all the good platers in. The Cup is set for decision" Wednesday, and as it has been a long time since Chicago patrons of racing have enjoyed the pleasure of witnessing good horses traverse such a long distance as two miles and a quarter, a great concourse of spectators may be relied upon. Thursday the Junior Stakes, a handicap for two-year-olds, will bo decided. It is at six furlongs, with ,500 added, and has 105 entries, including all the best now in action here. Saturday will bring about the running of two stakes, the September Steeplechase, over the short course, ,000 added, forty-two entries, and the Speed Stakes, a dash of six furlongs for all ages, with ,000 added and eighty-seven swift ones nominated, including nie Bunton, Joe Frey, J. Sidney Walker, The Pride, Stem Winder, Toah, Doublet, Headwater, Alard, Nickey D., Carl Kahler, Nellie Waddell, Marta Santa, Duelist and others of the winged-foot division.
