Himtine was well ridden and the going just suited him. He gradually wore Came I. down while rounding the far turn and swung to the good going in the run home, but was under a hard drive all of the last quarter to stall off Allopath. The latter finished strongly and would have won in a few more strides. The Bronze Demon ran a phenomenal race, closed a big gap after being left at the post and appeared like a winner at the furlong post, but tired in the last one hundred yards. Luigart kept laboring in the going and will do better on a fast track. President was not persevered with. He is sure to show improvement and was only cantering at the end. Alfred Vargrave dropped out of.it in the run down the backstretch and made up a lot of ground while rounding the far turn, but tired at the finish. This was not his race. Georgia Gardner was used up in chasing Albula and quit badly in the last quarter.
