At post 4 minutes. Start good. Won driving; second easily. Old Mike came with a rush through the stretch, wore down Miss Shanley and Frank Love and outgamed them in the final drive. Hall on the winner clearly outfinishing Castro. Miss Shanley will be hard to beat from now on in this kind of company, witn riders reversed she might have won. Frank Love ran to his best form, was crowded back at the furlong post and was tiring at the end. Captain Foraker finished strongly and would have been third in another stride. Sly Boots took command in the run home, shook off Oro Viva in the last eighth and was going away at the end. Oro Viva showed plenty of early spaed, but weakened when the pinch came. He was easily the best of the others, however. Fuego made up much ground in the run home and finished very strongly. Luigart showed early speed, but tired in the run home, as did Lansdown. Aratoma outbroke his company, showed the most speed throughout and was never in trouble. Euclaire came with a burst of speed in the final furlong and outgamed The Common when it came to a drive. Pay the Fiddler began slowly, but caught the leaders on the backstretch and fought it out gamely all the way with Boidle. The latter ran to his best form, hung on gamely and was gaining on the winner at the end. Lough Derg dropped out of it and came again, finishing very strongly. Kings Pet came wide into the stretch and would have been closer up with a stronger rider. Lombre was outrun in the first part of the race, but came very fast nt the finish and nipped Maple out. The latter was tiring in the closing strides. Miss Soak qait in the last quarter.
