Automaton, N trate and The Dons entry will in future not be accepted until properly schooled to the barrier. F. T. Woods fast two-year-old, Stem Winder, is dangerously sick at the Worth track. SeTeral horsemen think the colt is suffering from lung fever. E.C. Hopper, the secretary of the Latonia Jockey Club, was a visitor at Worth yesterday. In speaking of the outlook for the coming meeting to be held at Latonia, he stated that the prospect nvr looked brighter and applications from horsemen for stable room are coming in so fast that there will be some trouble in taking care of all the applicants. Jockey J. Daly, who rode Sombrero, was cen-inred by a number of horsemen for his indifferent ride on the Morris three:year-old. Daly brought his mount to tha middle of the track on the turn into the stretch and appeared to be able to win by half a dozen lengths, but the rider took a steadying pull on his mount when a furlong out and Sombrero began shortening his stride with the result that Hoodwink, which was making a game effort, got to his saddle girths. Daly never made an effort in the last seventy yards on his mount, realizing of course that Hoodwink would not be able to overtake him. But while he was observing what was going on. on the outside he failed to notice Bragg coming with great speed naxt to the rail and had the latter gotten his second wind a little earlier he ssight have beaten the Morris crack.
