Eleanor Howard, a fast beginner, was favored by a bad start, showed the most speed, stood off Hazel H. in the stretch and won with something left. Hazel H. improved suddenly and ran a strong race. Marco Polo ran a winning race from where he got off and would have probably won with an even break. Dandy Jim, Ampere, Kittie G. and Lasso were nearly left at tho post. Alpen ran poorly.
