Apole Sweet showed much speed and held the field safe all through the last quarter, finishing well in hand. Aylmer Bruce was under a hard drive all through the last eighth. Instar ran a surprisingly good race, finishing strongly after making up ground in the last half. She would have been second in another stride or two. Glenrice came with a rush at the end after making up much ground in the last quarter. Our Cora showed much early speed. Constellator showed much speed and was much the best of the others. Callant tired palpably when the pinch came. Pink Coat ran a dull race. Limelight made up ground in the last quarter and finished strongly. Silver Fizz ran a dull race and can do much better. She showed scant speed and her race should not be taken seriously. Won driving; second easily. Carl Kahler showed much spesd, but tired perceptibly in the closing strides and wonld have finished second in anotrter stride. He swerved slightly at the end. Evelyn Byrd, under a vigorous ride, was steadily wearing the winner down at the end. Bummer came from behind and finished strongly. Fairbury made up ground fast in the first quarter, which took all the vigor out of him and he had little left to finish with. He would probably have won with an equal break Eva Bice showed scant speed and was never a serious contender. Great Star showed early speed. Carl Kahler. show, 2 to 5. Evelyn Byrd. show, 1 to 2. Moabina showed much speed, but was tiring fast in the last twenty yards. Illowaho came with a rush at the end and would have been second in another stride or two. J. V.
