Unmasked reserved his speed to the stretch, where he made a final but unavailing effort to get up and was the best of the others. Lord Badge closed up with a rush at the end. Himself, outrun early, was moving up in the stretch and ran a good race. Harry New ran a fast and game race and finished like a whirlwind after making a wide stretch turn. Demurrer followed the winners pace for five furlongs and then quit. Belvino sulked without blinkers and will do to watch. Young Henry was practically left and only cantered the journey. Niaxus is improved; showed plenty of speed and held on well and should score an early win. Ithan was going strongly at the end. The Guide ran well and is improving. Oom Paul and Belles Commoner racod as a team from start to finish and the winner outstayed the western colt after a terrific and well sustained drive throughout the long stretch. The latter was probably not quite keyed up for so gruelling a struggle, but ran a brilliant race and is evidently of superior class. Huntressa and Cameron fought it out for third place in as game manner as the first two, the filly getting up in the last stride. Cameron ran as if sore and failed to show his his usual speed and tired at the end. Articulate fell away after going the first live furlongs and was overweighted. Early Eves last race just fitted her and she was well handled throughout. Weiber avoided the early pace and saved ground by gettine through next to the rail at the stretch turn. The filly closed up fast in the final furlong and Weiber rode a good hand finish. Brunswick would have won with capable handling, but was messed all the wayand finished strongly.
