NOTES OF THE TURF. One of the most valuable of the two-year-old races in the west is the Nursery Stakes, to be run at Louisville next spring. It is worth ,000 and many of the horsemen of the west have promising yearlings entered. A payment of 5 is due today the only one to be made and under the conditions the entry lapses if this is not paid. J. H., Chicago. In cases of dead heats money wagered is added together and divided equilly, each party to the wager taking half. In the case asked about the backer of Icicle would receive his money back, J . OL., Chicago. Allan counts for nothing except as a factor in the odds. The wager on Andy Williams straight wins at 1 to 4 and is a draw for place. St. L. Subscriber, St. Louis, Mo. Apprentice allowance continues for one year from the data of issuance of apprentice license. P. J. A.. Chicago. The parolee on Felix Bard and Golden Rule wins on the latter and is void a3 to the former, C. A. F., Chicago. The, wager on Lady Kent was a winner, at 8 to 1. H. A. B., Chicago.
