LOO AX TURF GOSSIP. "Danny" Lynch and C. F. Lind shipped their horses yesterday to California. In the latters charge are six horses belonging to Joe Terry, of Sacramento, one of which is a highly bred mare with a suckling colt by her side, the got of Masetto. A report was in circulation yesterday to the effect that James B. Eeene had wired an offer to Lind of 0,000 for the mare. This offer was submitted to Mr. Terry who is in California. The latter wired back to Mr.. Lind not to accept the offer. A. C. Franklin, who is training the horses of Woodford and Buckner, which includes Pink Coat and Bad News, will ship next Sunday nil the horses trained by him at present to Lexington, Ky., where they will be wintered. The report that Pink Coat would be retired to the stud on his arrival in Lexington was erroneous. The horse at present is as sound as ever, and if he winters well will be again campaigned. Jockey Donnelly left last night for California where he will do the riding for G. B. Morris. Jockey Cobura is reported as having signed a four months contract to M. H. Tichenor at a salary of ,200 a month for second call on his services. Bummer set a hew track ;nark for five and a half furlongs when he negotiated the distance in the third race in 1 :C6. Jackfulls time of 1 :S9 for the mile reduced the Worth record three-fifths of a second. Barca, which finished second to Jackfull, was timed by several owners in yesterdays race in a fraction batter than 1 :39. Lawrence Young, president of the Washington Park Jockey Club, was an interested visitor at Worth yesterday. The Don, Limelight, Silurian, King Barleycorn, Merops, Knightbanneret, Filly Deck and Leo Newell are listed for sale at 1 oclock p. m. sharp this afternoon. The Don is a cracking goodtwo-year-old and should evoke keen competition. John F. Schorr, Andy Blakely and P. M. Burch will ship their horses tonight to California. The latter recently purchased the three-year-old filly Marque from P. Dunne, and she will rnn in the name and colors of her new owner in the Fort Dearborn Handicap today.
