NOTES OP TEE TURF. The virtual reconstruction of the Washington Jockey Clubs track at Bennings makes it second to none in the matter of appointments. Ono thing that was a bar to the success of Bennings was the nature of the track. It was deep, sandy and consequently slow. It was very hard on the horses. Owners of fair class horses feared to run there. But an entirely now track has been built and with fair weather fast records may bo looked for during the course of the coming meeting. The racing firm of Chinn and Forsythe, well known in tho west, has dbcided to tell out its racing string, including Soltairo, Heather, Honey, Dal-cony, Wolfgar, Pastmaster, Propeller, Rubus, Georgio West, etc. Tho horses are to bo sold in Lexington next December. The wager should be paid straight and place, but subject to a reduction of .odds to the extent thandtZyra counted as a factor, making it in this case, as near as can be calculated, 8 to 1 and 3 to 1. Richard Croker, of New York, has bought one of tho bost racehorses in France. His new purchase is the horse-Rodriqao II., for which he has paid 85,000 francs, about $"17,000.
