Arden beat the gate, but was kept in second place to the stretch where he wore Musidora down in a strong finish. TLe latter appeared a sure winner almost throughout and ran a fast and game race. Mosketo, nearly left, made up twenty lengths on the first two and was probably best. McWilliams, crowded out of it on the first turn, was closing up very fast at the end. Patronymic, away badly and knocked back to last on the first turn, practically cantered the journey. Rice never made a move on him at any time. Scratched 36137 Lady Radnor, 101; 86137 Oclawaha, 93.
