Start good. Won easily ; second the same. Bummer easily came away from the field in the last eighth and was going away fast at the end. Evelyn Byrd was the best of the others and finished strongly. If You Dare tired palpably in the last sixteenth struggle. Braw Lad showed early speed, but fell away beaten when a furlong out. Mattie Spencer was well spent just after turning for home. Prince of Endurance stood a long stretch drive with gameness and finished strongly. Belle Graham showed some early speed. Fairbury was badly outrun for the first half, but closed up fast in the last quarter and finished stoutly. Little Jack Horner was done for when a furlong from home. The Lady was much the best and had little trouble in wearing down Jack Demund in the last sixteenth. The latter ran well, but tired fast when challenged by the winner and swerved toward the inside rail. Lady Strathmore tired fast when the pinch came.
