Illowaho suddenly improved, broke flatfooted, but went to the front with an unexpected burst of speed and held his advantage without urging and was much the best. Milas ran well and stood a loag final drive gamely, but was no match for the winner. Azarine was outclassed, but is in fins form and ran a good race. Halmetta closed a big gap from a bad start and finished like a flash. Matin Bell was closine ud strongly at the end. Kickumbob retired after going a good half. Huachuca broke flatfooted and trailed to the stretch, where ho moved up fast, taking the lead a furlong out, apparently an easy winner, but was driving hard at the end to beat Golden Light. The latter was always prominent, but lost ground in making a wide stretch turn, then closed up with a tremendous rush after a dilatory ride and was best today. Jarretiere dOr displayed brilliant early speed, but failed to stay and should improve. Wolhurst, away slowly, closed a gap and wants a longer race. Golden Cottage quit after following the pacemaker for a half mile. Olinthus is short, but looks grand. Huachuca, show, 1 to 3. Golden Light, show, 2 to 5. Durazzo got away running and made most of his advantage, forced the pace throughout, stood a long stretch drive gamely, is steadily improving and was best. Gold Bell, lucky and given a vigorous ride, was always in closp contention and fought out the finish like a stayer. Polonius ran a game race. Gaviota made up ten lengths on the leaders from a bad start, made a wide stretch turn and was given a weak finish. Warto Nicht failed to stay, dislikes weight and is best in mud. The latter made a wide stretch turn and closed up very strongly. Meahanus, soriously interfered with at the half, could never get up Bard Burns was outclassed. Won driving; second the same Sombrero broke sidewise and worked a rough passage for the first half, but when with clear sailing next to the rail moved up fast and caught Autolight a furlong out, after which he came away a decisive winner Autolight suddenly displayed amazing good form, forced the pace almost throughout and stood a long drive gamely. Corrigan, interfered with repeatedly, finished with a rush and was second best Frank Woods, away poorly, trailed to the far turn, where he went hopelessly wide, but closed up strongly and was unlucky to be out of the money. Yesuvian trailed under a pull, was hopelessly pocketed in the middle half and was not keyed up for so long a journey. The Fretter failed to stay. Lord Badge nearly left, raced into the lead in the first half after losing six lengths by a wide first turn but ia still short and can do much better. Urchin, poorly handled, finished very stronglv and is in great form. Gawaine was a lucky third. Doreen, all but left, ran a remarkable race and wni best. Oso failed to stay.
