Mildred Schultz forctd the pace throughout and gamely held her own when challenged and was best. Miko Murphy ran in remarkably improved form, sustained his speed unexpectedly well and finished strongly. Vohicer finished fast, closing up much ground in the last half. St. Phillipina had no mishaps, was right there all the way, but probably suffered from her jockeys early whipping tactics. Golden Cottage was running well at the end. Byronerdale indulged the pacemaker to the stretch, where he ran to the front unextended and was much the best. Gus Lanka ran a fast and game race and was much the best of the others. Antolee, in rare form and skillfully ridden, was reserved to the stretch, where she moved up fast next to the rail and won going away Dunblane secured a lucky start and waited on The Pride to. the stretch, where he easily took the lead and appeared like winning, but was unprepared for Antolees rush at the end. . The Prid forced the pace for six furlongs and failed to stay. His race was a bad one. Ishtar is coming on and finished very strongly. Scratched 31929 Divina,106; 36466 Doreen, 96. Lode Star was sent almg fn m the start, set a terrific pace and had the others driving early to keep up and easily held his own in th final stretch drive. Flu,-h of Gold, away badly and interfered with, made up ground rapidly and seemed dangerous on the stretch turn. The effort tired her at the end. but she was easily second best and ran a Inch-class race. Autolii;ht, under pressure throughout, was closing up gamely at the end. Marque was many lengths back at the half, bnt moved up with a tremendous rush in the lastquar-trr and is a good one. Position was always outrun. Glondenning got away running, m-di most of his advantage, displayed brilliant speed and was tiring and bearing out at the end, but was much the bst. Jim Hale finished with a rush and is greatly improved. Bedner unexpectedly failed to stay after excessive early driving, went a wide stretch turn and was messed about in the last furlong. Florinel II. suffered from following the winners pace and tired badly in the stretch. The Miller was cosing up at the end. All Green, practically left, collided with Ada N. at the start.
