Tom Maybin was cut off on the backstretch, but went around his field with a rush and easily came away in the stretch run. Florestan was on the extreme outside for the entire trip, finished strongly and outgamed John Carney when it came to a drive. John Carney was off well in motion and showed early speed, but weakened when the pinch came. Lord Touchwood was in behind the other horses most of the trip, but ran a good race and is worth remembering. Marco tired and quit when it came to a drive. Gannon had If You Dare well in hand all the way. The horse showed the most spoed throughout and was never in trouble. Joe Lesser ran to hie best form, wore Doeskia down in the stretch and outgamed her when it camo to a drive. Fuller made too much us of Doeskin in trying to catch the winner in the first half and she tired under pressure. Pierce J. was cut off and knocked out of it at the start and was not persevered with. The latter ran a good race and finished inside of the winner m the heavy gomg. Shoo Fly closed a big gap after getting off tangled up, but bumped into Little Adele in the last sixteenth. Pickles was given an easy ride. Helen Hay was next to the inside rail in the deep going for the entire trip.
