Hungarian, away flatfooted, interfered with and compelled to pull up repeatedly on the backstretch. bumped through in the stretch and was best, only losing through the winners, boring at the end. Btar Cotton came along next to therail very fast and shows steady improvement. Lone Fisherman broke slowly, bnt traversed the good going and with clear sailing failed to come on in the last quarter. Muresca beat the gate, but was reserved to the stretch, where she came fast and made good under a skillful ride. Glendenning, several lengths behind the winner at the start, was rushed to the front in deep going, opened a wide and apparently winning gap, but was ridden with bad judgment and finished in heavy going next to the rail and Kelly seemed to be taking matters easy at the end. Singleton Went to post at 3:23. At post 1 minute. Start bad. Won handily; second easily. Duke of York was hard pressed to keep within striking distance of Crest, but finally wore her down in the stretch and won drawing clear. The latter swerved at every obstacle, losing many lengths, and, but for repeating the same over the stretch hurdle, would have won easily, had the race safe when a furlong out and was easily best. Ohnthus was poorly ridden and interfered with many times by the swerving of others at the obstacles. Granger has seemingly lost his good form entirely. Loyal S. ran badly and can dn better. Gold Bell showed sudden improvement, ran in deep going next to the rail, was pocketed and pulled up at the far turn, but finished fast under a vigorous ride and caught Minder on Iredeus napping at the end. The latter was best, led under a pull to the stretch where he swerved out and, after decisively disposing of Gold Vans strong challenge, came away a sure winner and was going easiest of all at the end. Gold Van failed to stay and may have been short or seriously handicapped by the enppy going. Warte Nicht was a contender to the stretch turn, but fell away in the stretch run.
