Won handily; second easily. Bernota secured a lucky start and under a vigorous ride closed up strongly in the last quarter and won going away. He is a superior mudark and showed great improvement. St. Sever, away badly, closed a big gap and was pinned in next to the rail at the end Karabel developed surprising speed early and was a contender when a furlong out Idogo is improving and closed up strongly from an indifferent start. Larry Wilt secured a lucky start, forced the pace throughout and seemed beaten on the stretch turn, but outstayed I. O. U. in the final strtch drive and won going away. The latter followed the winners pace closely, hard held, for the first six furlongs, took the lead momentarily when a quarter out, but tired right at tho end under weak handling. SirLewis. particularly favored by the going, ran in greatly improved form and was closing no strongly at the end. Learoyd is very moderate. Blessed Damozal ran poorly. Halmetta was practically left. Quatre, lucky at the start, was always close up and ws wearing the winner down at the end. Sir Pre9ton, away badlyj went through next to, the rail and was hopelessly pocketed by the winner through the entire stretch and pulling up at the end and was easily best. Delsegno, nearly left, closed a big gap. Naulahka, from an indifferent start, pressed the winner closely for tho first half than tired. She had worked phenomenal recent trials. , . Beau Ormonde is in rare form, far outclassed the field and is the most improved horse in training hero Ha closely attended Sad Sam under a pull for the first half and flashed past him as if he was anchored when called on in the last quarter. Irene Lindsey trailed and benefited at the pacemakers expense finally wearing Sad Sam down at the end after a terrific and prolonged drive. Sad Sam, away slowly forced a tremendously fast pace, but waB never able to get away from the winner, yet ran a game race Albert Enright was nearly left and ran a good race. Hindred is not ready. Won easily; second the same Sunello nar ticularly favored by the sloppy going,regained his best form suddenly and waited on the pacemaker to the stretch, where he drew to the front, cantering. Hungarian, away badly and badly handled worked a rough journey, coming through in tho stretch like a whirlwind and was probably best. Nannie Nolan finished well and wore Sea Lion down at the end. The latter led hard held for six furlongs and appeared a sure winner, but quit suddenly and unexpectedly when called on in the stretch. Prima II went well throughout. CaBtake and Decoy were both beaten early in the race.
