Jarretiere dOr is steadily improving and very fit, was skillfully reserved to the stretch where he made good in game fashion. Golden Light was excessively used in disposing of the pacemaker and ran a fast and game race. Ben Mac Dhui was forced into the deep going, but closed up strongly at the end and can beat this kind when fit. Sea Lion tired after forcing the pace for fire furlongs and runs as if stale. Ned Dennis was saved to the stretch where be came along with a rush and wore the tiring pacemakers down and won drawing away. Edinborough. favored by the weights and going, was used up in racing after Amasa and turned wide and was swerving badly in the stretch under a poor ride. Bullman was hard at work on The Weaver throughout and the colt put up a game effort. Amasa tired after making the running to 1 the stretch. Arthur Ray ran a dull race and can do better, but was probably short. Constable is out of place in sprints. Ned Dennis, show, 3 to 5. Edinborough, show, 3 to 5. The Weaver, show, show, 3 to 5. Duke of York forced the pace throughout and outjumped, ontracod and outstayed his field decisively. Crest has improved, was the only other serious contender, but lost much ground at the stretch hurdle and will probably reverse this running later on. Dasmar was clobing up fast at the end. Mike Rice fenced badly and, when apparently sure of third place, balked at the stretch hurdle. Tulare fell away at the end o the first mile. Overweights Flashlight, 5 pounds. Antolee, lucky and favored with clear sailing1, finished fast through the stretch and won going away. Greyfeld got away well, was alwayB prominent and held on well under a vigorous ride, showing great improvement. Blackthorn, probably not quite keyed up for a long journey, was tiring at the end under a particularly weak ride. I. O. U. closed a bier gap from a bad start. Platonius forced the face for six furlongs and stuck to his work gamely at the end. He raced in the deep going throughout. Larry Wilt fell away after going a half mile. Antolee, how, 7 to 10.
