Boundlee was doing his best for the entire trip. Lighthunt wore Bummer down in the stretch run, outgamed him when it came to a drive and got up in the last stride. Bummer tired when called on for a strong effort. Moabina showed but little speed. Winkfleld pulled Ailyar up at the start but the horse mad3 up but little ground when urged. The latter ciosed a big ap and finished fast, caught Welcome Light tiring and beat him out in the last few strides. Glennevis tired and quit. So did Atuelrose. Flamboyant was probably short. Georgia Gardner finished fast and was wearing Flaneur down and would have been third in a few more strides. Joe Lesser had no mishaps and was hard ridden all the way. The latter ran to his best mark and was on the outside of the leaders all the way. Scorpio handled his weight well and hung on longer than usual. Swordsman was easily the best, the route and going being much to his liking. He got caught in a jam while rounding the first turn and bad to go to the outside to get to the front, but after that had things his own way and finished fast. False Load was under a hard drive all through the last furlong and just managed tc last long enough to stall off Lofter. Haack had the latter under restraint for the first half, but ba finished very fast and would haye bsen troublesome with a better ride. Lord Pepper did not run hj race.
