G. 0xhard, younger brother of H. T. OxnaflH will go into racing on his ownjhook next year. TlH two brothers were in evidence together at the la sale at the Horse Exchange, New York, and J. Oznard has entered the bay colt Alberto, by Alb Octave, in the Stallion Stakes of 1904. TH youngster, as well as several others belonging the younger Oznard, is down at the farm of Williams, in Kentucky. This pending rivalry of the Oznard brothejaJ the turf is already a very interesting one, anH of their varying opinions op matters of 0C"tH and kindred topics are decidedly animated wlH mutually compared. m CBoth gentlemen are great accessions to raciB and will have the best wisbos of ill handsTandThlB rivalry will recall that of P; erro, George and Lotf Lorillard in the old days, when the brothers worf race against each other arid back their opiniolH heavily. J At present Henry T. Oznard has more "irons in the fire" that his brother, but the latter has plenty -of time. H. T. Oznard has entered three young sters in the Stallion Stakes of 1904 the bay colt by Masetto Jamaica, the bajy filly by Masetto Ruby Dare, and the bay filly by Ben Brush Miss Landsman, f Jockey Buchanan has signed a contract to ride during the coming season, for M. H. Tichenor and Co. The salary which Buchanan will receive was not stated, but it is said to be 0,000, and he is to do: 102 pounds. He will report to the stablo at iliijl opening of the Memphis meeting. In the irjanda-time he will continue to 1 ride for S. C. Hildrc at Now Orleans. Mr. Tichanor and Durnoll and f drz have had a further conference as to the pure isa of McChesney. The prjee asked for the k so I however, is still so far beyond what Mr. Titbano;? j believes to be his value ;hat a sale is as far c?y as ever. J j Jockey Milton Henry HaB received an offer to ride for the Lotos stablo in 1903. The order is contingent on the success of U enrys application for reinstatement in France, wl lere his license was s itt-r drawn some weeks ago. Henry has brought su it against the FrencVi Jockey Club, and will go to that country in J inuary 1 3 : testify in the trial of the case. Should Jje be rof stored to favor it is more than probable that he will wear the "all pink " on the metropolitan tracks next season. J. w
