Free Girl took f kindly to the sloppy going and, assuming an early lead, held her field safe for the entire journey. I Pat Garrett did his bett and was much the best of the others. Title mad his move at the six furlong post, but found the distanco too far. The others were never serious contenders. Overweights Pat Garrett. 3 pounds; Randazzo. 2; Tripp, 5. Frank Kesinger found the weight and distance to bis liking and held the field safe all the way. "Dr. Hassman is apparently not partial to heavy going and refused to do his best. He swerved across Ringleader in the final fifty yards. Ringleader could not concede the weight. Waterton refused to break. The others, except Hermoso, wore handicapped by the going. ! Boittie was "the best, took kindly to the sloppy going and spreadeagled his field. Liska was best of the others, ;is carried wide by Quincy when entering the stretch and repeatedly bumped in the stretch run. le latter interference Quincy was disqualified. Liska was placed second and Dr. Carr tbird by the jji. Dr. Carr labored in the heavy going, but came along close to the rail in the stretch run, saving ii ground. Mabel Hurst quit early.
