Jim Gore II. outclassed the field, was lucky at the start and made the most of his advantage. He slowed down on the stretch turn and then came away like a flash at the end. Ting a Ling suddenly improved and followed the winners pace closely throughout. Handpress was away poorly, but gradually improved his position and finished with a rush. Precious Stone away flatfboted and bolted on the turn, losing ton lengths, cantered home after being straightened ad fur outclassed the field. Rowena pulled up on the turn to prevent being carried hopelessly out by e winner. She came through on the outside like a cyclone and was easily second best. Rapid Water as away well and was a sharp contender for second place a sixteenth out, made a promising debut if and is evidently another good one. Annie Marie and Samar were closing fast. Start fair. Won driving; second easily. Silver Fizz fell out of the race at the first turn and closed a big gap in the last six furlongs, finally wearing Dark Secret down in the last few strides. The latter displayed unexpected speed in going he disikes and will give a good account of himself on a fast track. Decoy showed remarkable improvement, forced the pace throughout and sustained his speed unexpectedly well. Nigrette followed the winners pace closely, was ridden all over the track in the stretch and appeared a sure winner, but Connell was caught napping in the last few strides. Parsifal was away badly and closed a tremendous gap. Resin was in the worst going throughout and was always prominent, but was tiring in the last few strides. Hungarian had no mishaps and ran a bad race in going apparently to his liking. Dotterel was away poorly. Decoy, show, 7 to 5. Nigrette, show, 1 to 4. Parsifal, show. 3 to 2. Hungarian, show, 1 to 3. Alice Cary, away poorly, gradually closed up and took a long and winning lead on the far turn, which she retained to the end without urging. She was much the best and is greatly improved. Onyx II. forced the pace and stuck to his work gameiy, and was the best of the others. Guida is very uncertain, finished out the last quarter fast and got up in the last stride to secure third place. Ed Lilburn ran well, but tired right at the end. Gladys Boll retired early and ran a bad race. Maud Muller showed early speed. Scratched 36765 Gillie, 1C9; S66620ro Viva, 112.
