Little Rita was best, assumed an early lead and, hugging the rail all the way, won with plenty to spare. St. Sidney began slowly, bnt finished with a powerful rnsh in the final sixteenth. Ada Russell, off well in motion, raced to tho front while rounding the far turn and, holding her field safe nil the way, won with plenty in reserve. The Phantom ran a good race throughout, but could not grit near to the winner. Dr. Carr, as usual, began slowly, but finished fast. Suave was best waited on the loaders to the stretch turn and coming fast in the stretch run won going away. Frank Kesinger found Suave too fast and could nover get to the front. Ringleader ran a good race but tired slightly in the final sixteenth, due to chasing March in the first part of tho race. The latter tired badly when the stretch drive came after displaying much speed. Little Emmy, a bad actor, was practically left at the post. Scratched 36924 Hermoso, 125; 36924 Waterton, 120. Rotha was tangled up at the start, but raced into a contending position while going around the turn and, wearing down Dr. Hassman in going to the final sixteenth, passed him in the final strides. The latter showed early speed, bnt could not withstand the winners rush. Battus can do better. Golden Maid wants a fast track. William F. II. was ordered scratched by tho judges, being sent to post with blinkers without his owners having first notified tho officials of their intention. . Scratched 368933 William F. Mountain waited on Facade and Guide Rock until the stretch was reached when he came with a well-timed rush easily passed the leaders and won going away. Guide Rock was used up in chasing Facade and tired when the pinch came. Too much use was made of Facado in the first Bix furlongs and he faltered in th closing strides.
