BRIGHTON HANDICAP AND CUP. The entries for the Brighton Handicap and Brighton Cup have been announced. The handicap has seventy-six entries, or nearly double as many as it had last year, and the Brighton Cnp presents forty-one nominations, as against twenty seven last year. There is scarcely a thoroughbred of prominence east or west that is not numbered in the list. The Brighton Cup, as is well known, is a weight-for-age race, and as president Engeman has decided to have it run at the October meeting of the association it probably will be, and, in any event, ought to be a much better race than it ever has been heretofore. ChiefTamong the entries for the handicap are Gold Heels, Grey Friar, Hyphen, Colonel Bill, River Pirate, Huntressa, Masterman, the crack filly Eugenia Burch, Africander, Heuo, Blues, Olympian, a full half dozen from John Maddens string, The Huguenot, Herbert, five from Alexander Shields stable, with Advance Guard in the load, Chilton, Oom Paul, Irish Lad and the imported Jxoree Good Morning II., with L.
