St. Sever was bumped at the start, but being skillfully ridden worked a rough journey to the stretch, where he finished well and was best of the others. Bonnie Lissak fell away after going a good seven furlongs and then came again. Bacchus, away badly, closed a big gap early and tired in consequence. Rim Rock went well. Platonius favors mud. Rosarie was lucky, had clear sailing and was a good horse today. Lone Fisherman wp-s prominent under restraint for the first half, then unexpectedly fell away in the stretch run. Snare failed to stay and may not have been keyed up for a long journey. Rasp was nearly left and was easing up at the end. Lode Star ran badly and will not run well except when in front. Katie Walcott, surprisingly improved and lucky, waited on Kittie Kelly to the stretch, where she came fast and put up a game finish. Ultruda closed up with a rush after making a wide stretch turn. Kittie Kelly led under a pull for six furlongs and held on unexpectedly well in a long, driving finish. Tizona is very good now and was closing up fast at the end. Beana failed to stay. Forte wants a longer race. Hesper moved up fast when a furlong out and then evidently sulked. Larry Wilt ran a very bad race. Scratched 37105 Hungarian, 109. Overweights Forte, 3 pounds; Sunello, 1. Epicure ran as if he outclassed the field and waited hard held to the half, where he went to the front and only cantered the remainder of the journey. Mi Reina got away poorly and gradually improved her position and made a strong but unavailing bid in the stretch. Clausus is a good looker and ran a remarkably good race. He was crowded out on the far turn and apparently beaten off. but came again right at the end. Blue Miracle went a good five furlongs. Quatre failed to stay and was probably outclassed.
