Rim Rock finished fast. El Piloto tired badly in the last furlong. Marlio was prominent for six furlongs, but failed to stay. Tufts favors stiff going, fell hopelessly out of the race early, but was closing the gap in the last quarter. Prima II. is best on a hard track. Scratched 37157 Tiberia, 102. Ho was always prominent and saved much ground by turning close next to the inner rail in the stretch and Burns outfinished Lewis, on Frank Woods, in the final drive. The latter suddenly improved in going he dislikes and closed up with a great rush in the stretch and was best. Canejo was crowded at the start, but ran a good race and finished fast. Won driving; second easily. Doreen, poorly ridden and generally messed about, closed a big gap in the last six furlongs and was best. Mission was well up throughout and, wearing the pacemaker down in the stretch, was probably caught napping rigut at the end. Ball Room Belle was lucky at the start, trailed the pacemakers to the stretch where she came through next to the inner rail and outstayed Hainault after a long drive. The latter was probably the best. He forced a fast pace in the early stages of the race and was not doing his bost at the end under a bad rider. Ada N., nearly left, closed a tremendous gap and finished resolutely. Laura F. M. was away poorly and was used up in taking an early lead and tired badly in the last quarter.
