Galanthus is a tremendously improved horse and with a lucky start forced a fast pace from the start and decisively outraced and outstayed his field. Meehanus appeared sore before the race and seemingly disliked the hard fast track, but ran a game race and was easily second best. Jim Gore II.. away badly, was excessively used racing into a contending position and tired in the final stretch drive. Nellie Forest appeared like coming on fast when fully straightened in the stretch, but failed when called upon strongly. Hesper is in bad form on this track. Galanthus, show. 6 to 5. Meehanus, show, 1 to 5. Jim Gore II., show, 2j to 1.
