Bondage was as good as left, but closed a big gap and finished going fast. Decoration tired and is not of much account just now. Watkins Overton was eased up when beaten. Ahumada ran as if he outclassed his field, was at home in the going and was never in trouble. Birch Broom was interfered with a couple of times and finished on the inside and Phillips was of little help to her when it came to a finish. Shrine tired when it came to a sharp drive and the race should improve her. It was a three-horse race all the way. Lefiare held his field safe all the way, was at home in the going, opened up a winning gap in the run around the far turn and was only cantering at the end. Ceylon ran well and vas under a drive all of the last three furlongs. Nettie Regent finished well and was wearing him down at the end and would have beaten him in another stride. She did not fancy the going any too well. Florrie S. swerved over into the deep going in the stretch run. Albula was used up racing with Bud Embry in the first half and was tiring at the end. Bud Embry showed early speed, but tirpd in the stretch run. Jena did not like the going. Floyd K. swerved in behind his field when the start came and had to make up his ground on the inside in the .heavy going, but saved a couple of lengths at the turn into the homestretch and drove out gamely with Frank Rice all through the last quarter. The latter swerved over to the inside in the last sixteenth and weakened under a drive. Farmer Jim tired as if short and the race should improve him. Star and Garter moved up fast while rounding the far turn, but tired when the pinch came. Hicks got him off in his stride, raced Aratoma to defeat in the first three-quarters, swung to the middle of the track at the turn into the homestretch and easily came away at the end. Lofter was in close quarters in the run down the back-stretch, was cut off a couple of times and outgamed Banish when it came to the final driv. The latter was as good as left at the post and closed a bg gap, but tired .when called on. Rasselas quit as if short, after showing speed early.
