Frank Pearce, suddenly improved, was always prominent and lucky and wore Carilee down in a long stretch drive The latter forced the pace throughout and was tiring rapidly at the end. Dollie Wiethoff appeared like winning when a furlong out, but fell away in the final drive, tiring badly in the deep going next to the rail. Yellowstone was probably best, closed a big gap in the last half and was running faster than the leaders at the-end. Windward was a prominent contender throughout and lost placing through a weak finish. Bernota was going fast at the finish after having made up much ground. Fairbury was sore and always outrun. Strife, crowded and forced into the deep going In the first fur- long, was closing up very fast at the end. Libbie Candid was inadequately handled. Juana, nearly left, closed a tremendous gap. El Chihuahua, lucky and skillfully ridden, patiently waited on the pacemaker for the first half and went to the front without urging, but was unexpectedly driving hard at the end to beat the fast coming G. W. Trahern. The latter is evidently of more than the useful class, closed a great gap and finished like a flash. Dora I. followed the fast pace closely and held on well. Cigarette held sway for five furlongs and tired badly at the end. El Chihuahua, show, 1 to 6. G. W. Trahern, show, 3 to 1. Organdie was skillfully reserved, moved up like a flash on the stretch turn and gamely outstayed Money Muss at the end. The latter was waited with in front and held on well in the final effort. Princess Titania ran next to the rail in the deep going throughout and was going fast at the end, but lacked her usual brilliancy and has evidently trained off. Mocorito was a good fourth. Hainault found the going too dry and fast and fell away after going a good half. Peter J. was not held together in the first part of the race, went after the pacemaker early and unepectedly failed to stay. He can do much better. Organdie, show, 1 to 5. Money Muss, show, 4 to 5. Montana Peeress regained form suddenly and led throughout an apparently sure winner and finished with plenty in reserve. David S. was the only other serious contender and ran a fast and game race. Matin Bell got away badly and closed a big gap. Filibuster was vigorously ridden and was fast wearing Matin Bell down for third place. Elfonse got away poorly and raced on the extreme outside throughout. July Gip went in improved form. Kickumbob is strictly a mudlark. Throw out Lenas race. Won driving; second the same Marineuse picked the best going and improved his position gradually and put up a tremendous game stretch run. Velma Clark injudiciously essayed to make the early runninjr and was forced out of position at the half, went throughout in the deep going and finishing very fast was probably best. Aunt Polly was shuffled about early and finished fast displaying unexpected stamina. Berendos fell away after forcing the pace to the stretch and is strictly a mudlark. The Miller got away slowly and was poorly ridden. Marineuse, show, 1 to 3. Velma Clark, show, 1 to 3. Aunt Polly, show, 8 to 5
