Kingraine was much the best at the weights and drew away when Lewis pleased. Ernest Parham ran a good race and might have been closer to the winner at the end, but was eased up when beaten. Drummond, shut out right after the start, finished with a rush under the whip. Hists performance for six furlongs was fair, and he is worth remembering in poorer company. Julia Junkin was used up in forcing the pace and was eased up in the final furlong. Rene was practically left at the post. The first two got away flying and had the race between them all the way. Duelist stood a long hard drive to get to the front and was doing his best at the end. Stevedore forced the pace, but was not up to the route and tired in the final furlong. The race should improve him. Demurrer was overweighted and was tiring at the finish. Mamari finished going fast and would have been third in a few more strides. She is rounding to and is a good filly when right. Scratched— 38461Futurita, 110. Extralaw is rounding to, made up ground after beginning slowly and fought out the finish gamely. McGonigle showed speed to the stretch and quit. Duncan was poorly handled. Calyx is plainly short. He was crowded out on the first turn but ran around the field when going into the backstretch and forced the pace the rest of the way. He was headed by Dr. Saylor in the last hundred yards, but came again and got up in the last stride. Fuller saved ground with Dr. Saylor and he closed up fast in the ■final furlong under a drive and seemed the winner, but faltered In the last few strides. Injunction ran a fine race for his first time out, came very wide in the stretch and was a contender to the last fifty yards, when he tired. Himself ran under a drive nearly all the way. , Potente was hemmed in next to the rail in the first part of the race and met with considerable interference. His race should be thrown out. Alan ran and won as if she outclassed her company, but Haack took no chances in the stretch and rode her out. Morokanta showed speed, but was tiring at the end. Graden finished fast and would have been second with a strong finish. Louise Elston ran as if short. Cincinnatus ran a good race and is worth remembering. Arden was crowded back at the start. Mezzo was in the middle of the field all the way. Petit Bleu showed speed and is rounding to. True Blue quit in the stretch.
