At post 5 minutes. Start good. Won easily; second driving. Gus Lanka took kindly to the going and after running Crucero into submission had things his own way thereafter. Uranium outstayed Fullback in the last sixteenth struggle. The latter appeared to have second place well in hand in the final eighth, but faltered palpably in the closing strides.- Crucero showed speed and bears watching. Won easily; second the same Arnold K. began slowly and was taken wide when turning for home, but closed up ground fast in the last eighth and was going away at every stride at the end. Don Domo tired perceptibly when a sixteenth out and probably runs best on a fast track. Maggie Leeber outstayed J. W. ONeill when the pinch came. The latter showed his usual turn of speed. Bondage ran Dan McKenna into submission in the first seven furlongs and then came away winning as his rider pleased. The latter was under a drive all through the last quarter. Omdurman closed up some ground in the stretch under punishment. He runs to his best form on a fast track only. Lingo showed early speed, but appeared unable to extend herself freely in the going. Won handily; second easilv Will Sherry displayed much speed and after running Branch into submission came awav in the last quarter, although he had to be shaken up a little to stall off La Hondas bid in the last sixteenth. The latter closed up much ground in the final furlong but could nol quite reach.
