"Went to post at 2:39. At post 9 minutes. Start good. "Won driving; second easily. Ladas had clear sailing all the way and won because of a good ride in which Dale clearly outflnished McKinney. Lady Vashti was lucky and ran to her best form. Cressida, off badly, met with early interference, but made up much ground and finished fast. Death also made up a lot of ground in the stretch, but it was too late. Kisme is in good form, ran a clinking race under a good ride and stood a drive gamely. Pharoah showed decided improvement and ran his best race of this season, was well handled and had no mishaps. Kunja ran well and was gaining at the end. Chorus Boy showed early speed, but quit badly at the finish, like he went up in the betting. Pathos ran a fair race. Pay the Fiddler can do better. Miss Mae Day was at her best today, having suddenly regained her speed, was held in reserve to the stretch, then came on and won at her ease. Pourquols Pas displayed much speed, but was made too much use of and tired when challenged in the stretch. Helen Print ran well to the stretch, but probably was a bit short and tired in the stretch run. Sigmund ran a good race, is rounding to and will be hard to beat hereafter. Kaffir ran a good six furlongs. South Breeze was pinched out at the start and never got into her stride. Miss Mae Day, show, 3 to 2. Pourquols Pas, show, 1 to 2. Louis Wagner was dull of speed and ran a comparatively poor race, but was doing his best through the stretch. Frank Bell showed his old-time speed, but was a trifle short and tiring at the end. He will do shortly. Alice Turner ran a good race and was closing up fast at the end. Nickey D. tired after going a fast quarter and was hardly up to a bruising race. The latter showed the most speed to the stretch, but tired when put to a hard drive. Mollie T. quit badly in the stretch. Hie Away and Dr. Scharff were going well at the end. Jerry Hunt was unlucky.
